Are you a first-time Home Buyer?

We encourage you to pay particular attention to hiring a contractor. So often, we hear the horror stories. The most common complaint comes from using unlicensed contractors. Since the unlicensed contractor has no insurance and pays no taxes, this could become the homeowner’s responsibility if they are injured or cited for working without a license. Worse yet, if your project is badly built, you have no recourse. Fortunately, there are over 3,000 registered contractors in Southwest Washington. While not every one of these contractors is a member of our Association, we encourage you to consider hiring one of our members, who are all licensed and bonded, for your next project.
